Azane at IACSC Conference & Expo 2014 to Demonstrate the Benefits of Low Charge Ammonia Cooling
CHAMBERSBURG, PA - October 30 2014
The leader in low charge ammonia, Azane Inc, will showcase its Azanechiller and Azanefreezer technology at the International Association for Cold Storage Construction (IACSC) Conference & Expo in Florida from 6-9 November.
Azane will exhibit its range of low charge packaged ammonia solutions for public refrigerated warehouses, temperature controlled storage and distribution.
Azane packages use ammonia, a natural refrigerant that has zero global warming potential and is the ideal future proof solution for companies looking to construct new facilities or replace existing Freon systems due to R22 phase-out. The Azane range delivers in terms of return on investment due to its improved energy efficiency and reduced operating costs. Comparisons with alternative solutions indicate a 20%+ improvement in energy efficiency compared to Freons, lower capital cost than ammonia pumped circulation, and paybacks within 4 years when compared to HFC condensing unit technology.
The low charge, air cooled ammonia Azanechiller and Azanefreezer have a proven track record with successful installations at temperature controlled warehouse facilities for over 25 years.
The factory built packaged design of the Azanechiller and Azanefreezer eliminates the need to build costly machinery rooms and lessens site installation time by around 70%, saving both time and money.
Calen Nelson, VP - Business Development, says: "There are no products on the market which offer the same package of benefits offered by the Azane range. They are definitely unique due to being air cooled, which eliminates the need for water. They use a futureproof natural refrigerant that will not be affected by legislation and have a 'critical charge' design, which allows the refrigeration units to use as little as 2lbs of ammonia per Ton of Refrigeration. Facilities using Azane low charge systems will not be listed in federal and national emphasis programs since this requirement applies to systems with a charge of 10,000 lbs of ammonia or more."
Azane manufactures to national US standards and regulations at its facilities in Chambersburg, PA and supplies the North American and South American markets, with plans to expand into Canada. Their systems are suitable for applications such as temperature controlled storage, new build freezer warehouses, or extension of existing freezer facilities. The company also provides dedicated technical support, site surveys, proposals and training to HVACR contractors, consultants and end users.
Azane technology is being introduced to the US market at a key time as the EPA rolls out its R22 phase out plan to combat ozone depletion.
